I was recently asked to join an Instagram discussion on the person of Jesus and the truth of Christianity. A student had responded to a post which you can see here.
The first thing to recognize is that this post is a classic example of the genetic fallacy. You cannot discredit a view based on where it came from. You must attack the arguments of the view.
The conversation turned from evidence for God to Jesus and the author of the post claimed, “the story of Jesus is just a recycled story borrowed from about a dozen and a half ‘saviors’ that came before him.” Is this true?
See my conversation below and check out my video where I give three responses to his claim.
