Being closed minded doesn’t help in a discussion. In fact, as one student pointed out, being close minded may cause you to miss the truth! Plus, why would we expect anyone to change their mind after talking to us if we are unwilling to change ours? This week I discuss a few reasons why I think we need to be open minded and listen to opposing views, yet at the same time learning to think critically.
